8 weeks, 5 days
This morning was our third doctors appointment and our second sonogram picture. We had an appointment two weeks ago which was somewhat of an emergency appointment, due to some spotting, but that came and went. Luckily, my friend Blyth brought movies and snacks over for the weekend so I could keep my mind off of things. Anyhow, everything is better now and the baby is doing great.
Its 5.4 centimeters today (about 2.1 inches), has noticeable arms and legs and a nicely sized noggin. We had a good look at the heartbeat and the doctor said something about how now its a real thing that's there and doing really well. Its kind of hanging out by the right ovary right now, which you can kind of tell here, but it has lots and lots of time to reposition itself.
So you can really see the baby here. The head is on the right side and then you can see arms and legs on the left side. The head is about half the size of the entire baby. (Can you imagine, if our baby has a head this big how big Jess' babies heads must have been??) :)
Oh! Due date is December 11.

The Poop?! That's what you decided to call your baby in the making? That's what i love about you guys. Thanks for sending me the blog. I can't wait to track the whole process.

Yeah, well, I'm not sure everyone is going to love the name of the blog. I came up with that and didn't get approval from Brandon yet. We'll see ... if it changes soon, it's because there was too much controversy.

LOL, it's so true. When I clicked the link, I was like, "the poop?! wtf am I reading here?"
So exciting. :) I can't wait to see Shannon become a mommy. *grin*
