Hear it?
So last week was the 16 week appointment, and Mom and Dad got to hear my heart go bump bump bump. It was kind of fun...but Mom was hoping to get an audio recording of it, and possibly a video of the sonogram, but they didn't take any pictures and the sound would have been difficult to record, so Mom was out of luck.
They found out that all of the tests have come back great, and everything looks perfectly normal. In three weeks, Mom will go in to get what the doctors call an Anatomy Scan or Fetal Scan, and she does that at Lennox Hill hospital, then the next day is the next appointment with Dr. Jovanovic, so it will be a busy week. That's the time they usually tell whether I'm a boy or a girl, so stay tuned.
Everything else is good. Mom's feeling pretty good, only sporadic fits of nausea and some muscle cramping, which she suspects are growing pains. Her belly is starting to stick out a little (more than usual). She's all proud that she hasn't gained weight yet. She's always bragging about how she's actually lost a couple of pounds since she got pregnant. And the doctor told her no need to worry. That in fact, she WILL gain weight.
Anyhow, enough about MOM! Time to talk about me. I'm doing well, I'm moving and shaking and I can see light now, even though my eyelids are still fused shut. I'm developing my hearing, too, so people can start to talk to me (though you may want to clear that with Mom first), and I'm still practicing my break dancing moves for the delivery table. I'm about the size of the palm of your hand and I'm still pretty skinny, but I'm developing a little baby fat.
I'm looking forward to spending some time with Grandma and Grandpa this weekend. They SAID they're coming to see Mom and Dad, but I know they're really coming to visit me.
Well, I'm in serious need of me-time, so I've got to get going. I hope you're all enjoying the blog. I may chat a little here and there, but the next big blog will be around the 23rd or 24th of July, when you'll probably get some more pics of this cute mug.
Later taters.
